Located in Romania’s Jiu Valley, the New Horizons Foundation works to bring the benefits of adventure tourism to this historic coal mining region. Programs include mountain biking, rock climbing, and high ropes courses, all with the aim of promoting leadership training and economic opportunity in an area still experiencing the effects of the former communist government.
